Just a preview of part of the Epistle reading for this coming Sunday, from Colossians 3, which will be the text for our last sermon in the Epiphany series, “In View of God’s Mercy.”
12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
It hardly needs any comment (maybe the sermon will be short!). But the world in which we live desperately needs people who “dress” this way. Let us take these words to heart as we seek to manifest the light of Christ to our world.
